Halloween Props
Halloween
props, especially professional Halloween props can make
any home or lawn stand out from the rest in the neighborhood.
While most Halloween props are quite lame, there are a
few that will be a hit with Halloweeners and partygoers
alike.
In
order to attain Halloween props that look professional,
you can either buy them or make them yourself. If time
is an issues, the buying professional Halloween props
is preferable, but for those who have a little time to
invest and wish to make their own, these types of Halloween
props can be real winners.
For
instance, why not decorate your lawn with real gravestones.
Ben Franklin once said, "Never a borrower, nor a
lender be" but he wasn't talking about the Witching
Hour, so borrowing a few gravestones from the neighborhood
cemetery just for one night won't hurt anyone.
Another
idea for professional-quality Halloween props is to add
real ghosts to your home or lawn. Hold a public séance
and call upon ghosts of yore to present themselves on
All Hallows Eve. Perhaps even having separate areas of
the home for séance, Ouija Board, Tarot card readers
and ghost whispering will turn your place into a real
hoot.
And,
speaking of "hoot" why not adorn your place
with real owls? Spotted owls are great if you can get
them since they're endangered. If not, then regular owls
will work. Bats also are wonderful Halloween props, so
if you don't mind a little biting and bat poop on the
carpeting then this is another way to go.
There's
nothing that says professional Halloween props that having
a real dungeon on the premises. Perhaps buying a bona
fide serial killer's dungeon on eBay or another online
outlet may be over-the-top for some, but for others this
will provide the perfect accent for your hallowed living
space.
Having
a casket in the home may seem trite and overdone to some
who have seen this type of Halloween prop used many times
before, but a twist on this theme is to have an actually
dead body inside. In order to avoid being jailed for breaking
grave robbing laws, it is best to purchase one at an online
auction.
Once
you've got all the Halloween props needed, then adding
a few smaller Halloween
decorations such as ear wax candles, blood pudding
made with real blood or skulls and bones will provided
excellent accents to any living (of dying) space. Be creative.
Have fun. The point is to shock and entertain, so providing
excellent and thoughtful Halloween props can help accomplish
this goal.
